Abstract

This sealing ring comprises an annular element of an elastomeric material 2 and a metallic reinforcement part constituted by steel wire hoops 3 incorporated in the elastomeric material. The hoops 3 are preferably constituted of multistrand steel wire twisted together. For large diameters, several concentric rows of hoops 3 are incorporated. <IMAGE>
