Abstract

A process for mixing and burning an emulsion of water in oil to conserve fuel including the steps of emulsifying a mixture of 50-80% water and a combustible oil in a tank (6) at a temperature of 35-70`C depending on the sulfur content of the oil, pumping the emulsion at a pressure between 10.5-21 kg/cm<s2>s to an emulsion oil heater (8) which raises the temperature to 110`C and passing the emulsion through a solenoid valve (17) to a burner nozzle (18).
