Abstract

A cargo securing device on a platform body (2) includes, with the platform (2) operatively connected or connectable, anchoring lugs (3) for fastening of securing ropes, which are tightened between the cargo (11) and the anchoring lugs (3) when cargo (11) is being secured. Characteristic for this invention is that the device includes, on the platform body or along its sides affixed, supporting channels (1) with rectangular or square cross-section of which an opening (7) runs along one side wall (6) of the channel (1). Each anchoring lug (3) works via a lever shaft (4) fixed to an elongated locking device (5) the width of the opening (7) and the length of which is somewhat bigger than the distance between the two opposite side walls (8, 9) situated on both sides of the opening (7) of the supporting channel (8, 9) and of which the thickness is somewhat less than the distance between the other two side walls (6, 10) of the supporting channel (1). The locking device (5) is insertable into the supporting channel (1) through the opening (7) and designed so that when a rope (12) is tightened between the cargo (11) and the connecting anchoring lug (3), the locking device (5) is turned inside the supporting channel (1) by the tension force transferred by means of the shaft (4) so that the ends (14, 15) of the locking device (5) offer resistance against the opposite side walls (8, 9). Thus the locking device (5) is prevented from moving along the supporting channels (1).
