Abstract

A method for restoring wooden doors that are normally discarded, that have damage to either one or both of their plane sides. According to the invention the door is restored after the removal of door handles, fittings, etc. by washing it and levelling it on at least one of its planed sides, and that contact glue is applied to this side and at the same time on the back side of a thin plate whose front side is laminated by a plastic cover with a predetermined pattern, of which the plate has the same length and width as the door, that the patterned decorative plate is brought to and pressed together with the door with the two contact glue surfaces in contact with each other, the edges are then pop-riveted along the edges of the plate in order to permanently rivet the edges to the door.
