Abstract

A device for sampling a suspension flowing through a pipe, such as, in particular, a fibre suspension, comprises a cylinder which is attached to an opening in the pipe wall and accommodates an axially displaceable hollow piston which has a sampling chamber which is limited by a relatively displaceable piston and which can be filled with a sample collected from the suspension, and discharged, by means of a drive device which is common to the hollow piston and the piston.
