Abstract

A floor 1 or floor element 16, specifically for smaller houses and industrial premises, constructed from parallel lightweight girders 2 at a distance apart and gas concrete 3. The lightweight girders 2 serve as a load- absorbing element, whilst the gas concrete 3 acts as bulk- forming and surface-forming material. The lightweight girders 2 are wholly embedded in the gas concrete 3. This means that the risk of bulging of part-surfaces and rotation of the lightweight girders 2 is eliminated. The load-absorbing capacity of the girders is in this case limited only by the strength characteristics of the incorporated material. By choosing gas concrete 3 with low specific gravity and hence low heat transmission coefficient and girders with reduced cold bridge effect, a heat-insulating floor can be obtained. <IMAGE>
