Abstract

A device for use on motor-operated portable screwdriving tools for guiding screwdriver and screw has two sleeves displaceable telescopically in relation to one another, of which one - the rear sleeve - can be connected to the screwdriving tool, while the other - the front sleeve - carries a mouthpiece part. The sleeves and the mouthpiece part have a passage extending axially through these three parts and having guides for the shank of a screwdriver, which at its rear shank end is in drive connection with a rotatable part of the screwdriving tool and is displaceable with its front end in the front sleeve and in the mouthpiece part. The mouthpiece part has at its side wall an opening for inserting a screw into the axial guide passage of the mouthpiece part and also at its front end a device which guides the screw into a workpiece, at least during the initial screwing-in phase of the screw by means of the screwdriver, when the screwdriver is turned.
