Abstract

A leg clamping device for a jack up platform 1, having legs 2 extending through the platform 1 and a rack 6 attached to each of the legs 2 therealong and meshing with a drive pinion 7 mounted on the platform, comprises a plurality of clamp pieces 29, 30, or 42 engageable in the furrows 6a of the rack 6, a bearing body 16 or 41 fixedly mounted on the platform and supporting the clamp pieces 29, 30, 42 individually movably toward or away from the rack 6, and locking means 33, or 51/52, provided for each of the clamp pieces 29, 30, 42 for releasably locking the clamp piece in engagement with the rack furrow 6a. <IMAGE>
