Abstract

The invention relates to roof bars for vehicles. The roof bar comprises a rod-shaped carrying element 2 with two supporting legs 4 connected to each end thereof for fastening the roof bar to the vehicle roof. The roof bar comprises at least one rod-shaped fixing element 6, which is lockable against the upper side of the carrying element for keeping objects, carried by the latter. The fixing element 6 is connected to the carrying element by means of linking means allowing the fixing element to take up different positions relative to the carrying element. <IMAGE>
