Abstract

A table comprising a table top (2) and legs, which in a simple way can be attached to and removed from the table top, and fastening means for attaching the legs to the table top. According to the invention, each leg comprises two parts (3, 4), which are attached to each other at the lower end and movable to and from each other by action of the inherent resilience of the material. Two such legs are at their upper end attached in spaced relationship by means of ribs, so that a leg trestle is formed. At the short end of each table top (2) fastening means comprising blocks (11, 12) are provided. The blocks (11, 12) are provided with horizontally extending recesses (14, 15, 16) into which corresponding projections (9, 10) from the legs are intended to be inserted and retained by said resilience. Said blocks (11, 12) are so located in longitudinal direction of the table top (2), that a leg trestle can be attached either to the short end of the table top (2) or, alternatively, between the blocks (11) located closest to the short end of the table top (2) of two table tops (2) placed adjacent one another, in which last mentioned case the leg trestle interconnects the table tops (2), thereby preventing gaps and differences in height between the table tops (2).
