Abstract

The invention relates to a dish-shaped packing of the type which consists of an outer packing 1 made of cardboard or similar rigid material with a lining 2 made of plastic or another liquidtight material applied therein, where the lining forms a relatively wide top edge 5, to which a sealing cover 4 can be fastened. The outer packing is, at selected places along, or around its entire top edge, designed with joining flanges 11, 12; 14; 15 which are folded in and to which the lining 2 is fastened. On its outside, the outer packing can be provided with a thermo-adhesive material layer, by which means the lining 2 is fixed in the outer packing by heat- sealing to the joining flanges 11, 12; 14; 15, and the joining flanges can, alternatively or additionally, be coated with glue, adhesive, wax, hot-melt adhesive or another fastening material. The outer packing can be designed so that the joining flanges 11, 12 and 16 also afford a certain mechanical fixing of the lining 2 in the outer packing. <IMAGE>
