Abstract

The present invention relates to a to a miniature container (200) and to a container assembly (100) comprising a larger container (110) intended to hold a first consumer product and wherein the miniature container (200) is intended to hold a second complementing consumer product. The miniature container (200) is completely contained in a compartment (121) in the cover (120) of the main container (110).

Claims (10)

Claims
1. A miniature cylindrical container (200) comprising: a base (210); and a lid (220), wherein - the lid (220) šggarranged to slidably close the base (210); -the base (210) (210) provided with an upstanding rim (211) forming a half circle on the open end of the base (210), the :agg-formed as a flat cylinder open in the upper end, the open end of the base upstanding rim (211) on its inner side is provided with a circumferential groove (212), the groove (212) positioned so that the lower part of the groove (212) is flushed with the upper end surface of the base (210), which is not covered by the upstanding rim (211), the groove (212) arranged to receive a portion of the lid (220); -the lid (220) first portion (222) forming a half circle with a first diameter, d, a thickness smaller than the height of the groove second portion (224) forming a half circle with a second diameter, D, that is larger than the first diameter, d, and wherein the lid is provided with a guiding tip (221) positioned on the midpoint of the half circle with the first diameter, and wherein the upstanding rim (211) of the base (210) is provided with a guiding recess (213) positioned in the groove (212) and at the midpoint of the half circle formed by the upstanding rim (211), the guiding recess (213) arranged to receive the guiding tip (221) in a closing operation and to accommodate the guiding tip (221) ïštesæwhen the lid (220) is in a closed position; and a height of the miniature cylindrical container (200) is selected within an interval of from 5 up to 7 mm and a diameter of the miniature cylindrical container (200) is selected within an interval of from 45 up to 65 mm.
2. The miniature cylindrical container (200) according to claim 1, wherein the second portion (224) of the lid (220) comprises a skirt (223) extending towards the base (210) and partially enclosing the base (210).
3. The miniature cylindrical container (200) according to claim 2, wherein the skirt (223) of the lid (220) extends to the bottom of the base (210).

The miniature cylindrical container (200) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the miniature cylindrical container (200) is provided with a locking arrangement (228; 231) arranged to secure the |id (220) in a closed position, the locking arrangement (228; 231) comprising a protrusion (228:1; 231 :1) provided on either the base (210) or the |id (220) and a matching recess (228:2; 231:2) provided respectively on the |id (220) or the base (210).

The miniature cylindrical container (200) according to c|aim 4, wherein the second portion (224) of the |id (220) comprises a skirt (223) extending towards the base (210) and partially enclosing the base (210); and the locking arrangement (228) is of snap-fit type and comprises a first protrusion/recess pair (228:1, 228:2) provided close to one end of the half circle formed by the skirt (223) of the |id (220) and a second protrusion/recess pair (228:1, 228:2) provided close to the other end of the half circle formed by the skirt (223) of the |id (220).
6. The miniature cylindrical container (200) according to c|aim 5, wherein the skirt (223) has an outvvards flexibility providing for the first and second protrusion (228:1) being moveable from their respective resting positions in the first and second recess (228:2).
7. The miniature cylindrical container (200) according to c|aim 4, wherein the locking arrangement (231) is of snap-fit type and comprises a protrusion/recess pair (231:1, 231:2) provided on the guiding tip (221) and in the guiding recess (213).

A container assembly (100) comprising: a main container (1 10) comprising a main compartment (111), which is covered and closed by a main container cover (120), wherein the main container cover (120) comprises a secondary compartment (121) accessible from the upper surface of the main container cover (120) and separated from the main compartment (111); and a miniature cylindrical container (200) according to any of the preceding claims completely contained in the secondary compartment (221) of the main container cover (120).
9. The container assembly (100) according to c|aim 8, wherein the main compartment (111) comprises a pouched oral tobacco product.
10. The container assembly (100) according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the miniature cylindrical container (200) comprises a pouched oral care composition.
