Abstract

Device (1) comprises a radially deformable sleeve (2) containing a tubular elastomer lining (4) which has at least one ring (3) made from a plastic deformable material fitted over it so that the inner ring periphery and outer ring periphery roughly coincide with the inner side of the lining and inner side of the sleeve respectively. The device is secured to the cable (5) by plastic radial deformation of the rings via the sleeve.
