Abstract

The device is used to encrypt an information packet (220) comprising a block header (221) and a non-encrypted text data block (222). The device comprises an encryption unit (210) with an input (212) for an encryption key and an output (213) for encrypted text. The encryption unit includes a data storage memory, devices for updating the memory with inputted information, an instruction table for carrying out operations to modify the memory, a processor for selecting and executing the operations, and a device for extracting information from the memory. Independent claims are also included for (a) a data encryption method using this device, and (c) a software program product for use in this encryption system.
