Claims (30)
1. Способ защиты поверхности изделия от бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена, включающий:
приведение в контакт поверхности изделия с эффективным количеством дезинфектанта, содержащего висмут-тиольную (BT) композицию, при условиях и в течение времени, достаточного для одного или более из:
(i) предотвращения заражения поверхности изделия бактериальным, грибковым или вирусным патогеном,
(ii) ингибирования жизнеспособности клеток или клеточного роста практически всех планктонных клеток бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена,
(iii) ингибирования образования биопленки бактериальным, грибковым или вирусным патогеном, и
(iv) ингибирования жизнеспособности биопленки или роста биопленки практически всех образующих биопленки клеток бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена,
где BT-композиция содержит практически монодисперсную суспензию твердых микрочастиц, которые содержат BT-соединение, при этом указанные микрочастицы характеризуются волюметрическим средним диаметром, составляющим от приблизительно 0,4 до приблизительно 10 мкм, и где висмут-тиольное соединение не было микронизировано, измельчено или не подвергалось обработке сверхкритической жидкостью.
2. Способ защиты природной или искусственной поверхности от бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена, включающий:
приведение в контакт природной или искусственной поверхности с эффективным количеством дезинфектанта, содержащего висмут-тиольную (BT) композицию, при условиях и в течение времени, достаточного для одного или более из:
(i) предотвращения заражения природной или искусственной поверхности бактериальным, грибковым или вирусным патогеном,
(ii) ингибирования жизнеспособности клеток или клеточного роста практически всех планктонных клеток бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена,
(iii) ингибирования образования биопленки бактериальным, грибковым или вирусным патогеном, и
(iv) ингибирования жизнеспособности биопленки или роста биопленки практически всех образующих биопленки клеток бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена,
где BT-композиция содержит практически монодисперсную суспензию твердых микрочастиц, которые содержат BT-соединение, при этом указанные микрочастицы характеризуются волюметрическим средним диаметром, составляющим от приблизительно 0,4 до приблизительно 10 мкм, причем висмут-тиольное соединение не было микронизировано, измельчено или не подвергалось обработке сверхкритической жидкостью.
3. Способ по п. 1 или 2, где поверхность присутствует (i) на участке хирургического вмешательства, (ii) на медицинском устройстве или медицинском имплантате, (iii) на стоматологическом устройстве или зубном имплантате или (iv) на кости, суставе, сухожилии, связке или зубе.
4. Способ по п. 3, где медицинское устройство или медицинский имплантат представляет собой протез кости или сустава, катетер, стент, питательную трубку или гастростомическую трубку.
5. Способ защиты изделия от бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена, включающий:
приведение в контакт изделия с эффективным количеством дезинфектанта, содержащего висмут-тиольную (BT) композицию, при условиях и в течение времени, достаточного для одного или более из:
(i) предотвращения заражения изделия бактериальным, грибковым или вирусным патогеном,
(ii) ингибирования жизнеспособности клеток или клеточного роста практически всех планктонных клеток бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена,
(iii) ингибирования образования биопленки бактериальным, грибковым или вирусным патогеном, и
(iv) ингибирования жизнеспособности биопленки или роста биопленки практически всех образующих биопленки клеток бактериального, грибкового или вирусного патогена,
где BT-композиция содержит практически монодисперсную суспензию твердых микрочастиц, которые содержат BT-соединение, при этом указанные микрочастицы характеризуются волюметрическим средним диаметром, составляющим от приблизительно 0,4 до приблизительно 10 мкм, причем висмут-тиольное соединение не было микронизировано, измельчено или не подвергалось обработке сверхкритической жидкостью.
6. Способ по любому из пп. 1, 2 или 5, где поверхность изделия, природная или искусственная поверхность или изделие содержат одну или более из цементной поверхности, бетонной поверхности, резиновой поверхности, силиконовой поверхности, пластиковой поверхности, окрашенной поверхности или поверхности с нанесенным покрытием.
7. Способ по п. 2, где природную или искусственную поверхность защищают от бактериального патогена,
где природная или искусственная поверхность содержит одно или более из (i) протеза кости или сустава и (ii) тканевой или скелетной структуры, смежной с протезом кости или сустава, и
где дезинфектант содержит BT-композицию, предусматривающую BT-соединение в виде микрочастиц в костном цементе.
8. Способ по п. 7, где костный цемент содержит гидрогель.
9. Способ по п. 8, где гидрогель содержит полиметилметакрилат.
10. Способ по п. 7, где BT-соединение в виде микрочастиц выбрано из висмут-1,2-этандитиола (EDT), висмут-пиритион/-1,2-этандитиола и висмут-пиритион/2,3-бутандитиола.
