Abstract

1. The method of claim 1 wherein the composition comprises one of the compounds selected from the group consisting of: N,N'-oxybis(methylene)bis(N,N-dibutylamine),N,N'-(methylenebis(oxy)bis( methylene))bis(N,N-dibutylamine), and any combination thereof, which may contain N,N,N',N'-tetrabutylmethanediamine. The method of claim 1, wherein the reaction product between the hydrogen sulfide scavenger composition and hydrogen sulfide does not form a separate fluid layer. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of reacting the secondary amine with a formaldehyde equivalent to form at least a composition comprising a scavenger.

1.
