Claims

1. A smoking article comprising a rod of smoking material, at least one filter element and a wrapper, wherein

a wrapper connects at least one filter element and a rod of smoking material,

a rod of smoking material and at least one filter element are arranged with a gap covered by a wrapper to form a chamber, and

the wrapper has at least one vent.

2. The smoking article of claim 1, wherein the at least one vent is located above the camera.

3. The smoking article according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the gap between the rod of smoking material and the filter element has a value between 2 and 5 mm.

4. The smoking article according to claim 3, in which the gap between the rod of smoking material and the filter element has a value between 2 and 3 mm.

5. The smoking article according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the rod of smoking material is a tobacco rod.

6. The smoking article of claim 5, wherein the end portion of the tobacco rod adjacent to the chamber comprises tobacco, which is attached to the outer layer of the tobacco rod.

7. The smoking article of claim 6, wherein the tobacco is attached to the outer layer of the tobacco rod by adhesive or by controlling the amount of tobacco at the ends of the tobacco rod.

8. A method of manufacturing a smoking article according to any one of claims 1 to 7, comprising the following steps:

providing a rod of smoking material and at least one filter element located with the formation of a gap between them, and

attaching a rod of smoking material to at least one filtering element by means of a wrapper having at least one ventilation hole and spanning the gap between the rod of smoking material and at least one filtering element, forming a chamber.

9. The method of claim 8, in which use the gap guides installed in the squeezing drum of the machine for attaching filters to create a gap between the rod of smoking material and at least one filter element.

10. The method of claim 8 or 9, in which the rod of smoking material is a tobacco rod.

11. The method according to claim 10, further comprising the step of securing the tobacco located at the end of the tobacco rod adjacent to the chamber to the outer layer of the tobacco rod.
