Za pecanje riba udicom, upotrebljavaju se mušičarski čekrci, standardni čekrci i čekrci multiplikatori. Mušičarski čekrci se koriste u lovu riba mušicom, i za tu primenu su savršeni. Zbog rotora koji se balansira tegovima, težine i veličine standardnih čekrka, su veće u odnosu na multiplikator, prilikom pecanja riba iste težine. U glavi rotora i osovini postoje zazori, čak i kod sasvim novih čekrka, koji se vremenom uvećavaju. Kod ekstremnih naprezanja, krivi se i ruka rotora. Postoje sistemi za fino slaganje namotaja struka (obično od najlona) na kalem: kao sistem sa trnom, s-sistem, sistem sa beskonačnim vijkom, i t.d. Svaki od navedenih sistema je spregnut sa krajem osovine unutar tela čekrka, i otpočinje translatorno pomeranje osovine po uzdužnoj osi unutar tela čekrka, istovremeno i dela osovine sa kalemom van tela čekrka. Navedeni sistemi za fino slaganje struka (najlona) na kalem, su posrednici u tom procesu, a istovremeno, njihova veza sa krajem osovine, predstavlja nestabilni oslonac kraja osovine unutar tela čekrka. There are systems for fine stacking of the waist winding (usually nylon) on the spool: like mandrel system, s-system, worm system, etc. Each of the mentioned systems is coupled to the end of the shaft inside the body of the pulley, and starts the translational movement of the shaft along the longitudinal axis inside the body of the pulley, simultaneously with the part of the shaft with the coil outside the body of the pulley. The mentioned systems for fine stacking of the waist (nylon) on the spool are mediators in that process, and at the same time, their connection with the end of the shaft represents an unstable support of the end of the shaft inside the body of the pulley. This unstable support of the end of the shaft inside the body of the pulley encourages the creation of clearances in the shaft even with completely new pulleys, which increase over time with the use of the pulley. Due to the translational movement of the shaft along the longitudinal axis, the end of the shaft with an unstable support inside the body of the pulley moves towards the head of the rotor, thereby pushing the part of the shaft with the spool outside the body of the pulley, to the end point of movement. At that point, the shaft is at its greatest length outside the body of the pulley, and thus exposed to constant variable stresses through the waist (nylon) and the spool. This is a critical point, because the force that exerts pressure on the spool and part of the shaft inside the spool, using the lever principle, whose support is in the rotor head, bends the shaft at high stresses. By returning the shaft to the body of the pulley by moving it backwards, the load on the shaft is reduced, because the arm of the lever on which the force through the waist and the spool exerts external pressure is reduced. The consequence and lack of translational movement of the shaft along the longitudinal axis, together with the unstable support, is the variable resistance of the shaft to the variable load from the outside, which increases clearances, and at the critical point, under extreme stresses, bends the shaft. Multipliers are compact and have negligible clearances in the rotating elements, they are stronger and more powerful, because the shaft with the reel has stable supports at the end points, they are smaller in size and weight compared to the standard reel, when fishing for fish of the same weight. They perfectly wind and stack the waist (nylon) without threading on the rotating spool, because the longitudinal axis of the endless screw is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the spool and the shaft, and the waist (nylon) in relation to the longitudinal axis of the spool and shaft, comes without threading at a right angle, while the slide of the endless screw, without an intermediary in the process, stacks it perfectly on the spool. Disadvantages of the multiplier are the unchangeable closed spool, which accelerates the rotation and twists the waist when casting by inertia. The problem of casting in night fishing is greater, and the problem is also casting light loads, as in float fishing.

U jugoslovenskoj prijavi patenta dostupnoj javnosti YU P1986-0396 A1 1987.09.18 pronalazač Milan LAZIĆ (RS) prikazuje RIBOLOVNI KOTUR nove konstrukcije kod kojeg se namotavanje struka na kotur vrši aksijalno-kružnim pomeranjem kalema ribolovnog kotura. Ovakav način namotavanja struka izvršava se pomoću žičanog okvira (preklopnika) koji je nepokretan i koji se nalazi na standardnom mestu, na rotorskoj ruci (viljuški) nepokretnog rotora, čime se sprečavaju bočne vibracije.
