Proteza are forma unui mosorel, tija fiind injectata din copolimeri ai etilenei cu n-di-butilmaleat, hexilmaleat, sau acetat de vinil, iar discurile plate circulare atasate prin termosudare cu capetele tijelor-fiind realizate dintr-un material textil netesut, tip "spunbonded", obtinut prin autolierea filamentelor extrudate din polietilena de joasa densitate cu fluiditate mare 200 g/10 min, la 160 degree C si 2,16 kg sau dintr-un copolimer al etilenei cu 40% hexilmaleat avînd un indice de fluiditate cuprins între 15 si 30 g/10 min.
