Abstract

The method of obtaining a biodegradable film based on polysaccharide derivatives, using the cross-linking process in the presence of a plasticizer, is characterized in that cross-linking with a polycarboxylic cross-linking agent is applied to a mixture containing carboxymethyl starch and carboxymethyl cellulose in an aqueous solution. The content of carboxymethyl starch in the mixture is 10-90% by weight. It is also possible to use a starch-containing mixture, in which case the starch content of the mixture is from 10 to 90% by weight. A carboxy methyl starch with a degree of substitution of 0.15 to 0.90 and a carboxymethyl cellulose with a degree of substitution of 0.5 to 2.3 are used. The polycarboxylic crosslinker is used in an amount of 15 to 70 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the dry polysaccharide mixture. Citric acid, tartaric acid, adipic acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid are used as the polycarboxylic cross-linking agent. Crosslinking can be carried out in the presence of 1 to 15 parts by weight of mineral or natural filler per 100 parts by weight of the dry polysaccharide mixture. Montmorillonite or kaolin are used as the mineral filler, and cellulose with a fibrous or microcrystalline structure is used as the natural filler. The biodegradable film based on polysaccharide derivatives is characterized by the fact that it is a cross-linking product of a polycarboxylic cross-linking agent of a mixture containing carboxymethyl starch and carboxymethyl cellulose in an aqueous solution.
