The present invention relates to docosahexaenoic acid which can be used to reduce the risk of premature delivery. Docosahexaenoic acid is of natural origin, obtained from natural algae. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a capsule for use in reducing the risk of premature delivery.
