Abstract

The sill (1) is fitted to a door which opens outwards, and has a seal (6) on its outer side (2), in order to prevent draughts and moisture from passing. A lip is arranged between the upper side (4) of the sill and the upper side (19) of the seal, and which covers part of the latter. The seal may be moulded, and may be able to be slid into a guide (5) in the sill. An insulating strip may also be fitted to a guide on the inner side of the sill, and the outer side may have a metal sheet to deflect water.
