Abstract

In a rotogravure printing machine (1) having at least two printing units (24 to 27 and 30 to 33) and a drying device (34 to 36; 38 to 40) arranged between said printing units, through which a paper web (2) to be printed runs one after the other, to simplify the operation and to reduce the occurrence of waste, provision is made for the printing units to be aligned in such a way that the paper web runs in a straight line from the preceding printing unit through the drying device without contact to the subsequent printing unit, guided only by the forme cylinders (55, 55) and impression cylinders (56, 56) of these two printing units. <IMAGE>
