Description
S02, i zracy osad, np. Oslona wedlug wynalazku niniejszego moze byc stosowana do wszelkich materia¬ lów wybucfcowych uzywanych w górnictwie. PLExplosive cartridges for bursting mine material usually have cylinder-shaped shields that prevent the ignition of explosive mixtures, e.g. methane or coal dust with air. These shields are previously made of materials that have a cooling effect or volatilize. at the explosion temperature and forms a protective coating that isolates the charge of the cartridge from the surrounding air. Common salt, sodium bicarbonate, sodium or calcium fluoride, ethyl iodide, acid sodium sulfite are used as such materials; to these materials, a binding agent is added, e.g. clay, dextrin, etc. Such shields, however, do not insulate the charge sufficiently, and then, in the event of an explosion, poisonous gases, e.g. SO2, are produced and the precipitate, e.g. NaOH, is destroyed. The present invention can overcome the above disadvantages by using solid carbonic anhydride shells either alone or mixed with ice water as the material for the production, the ratio of the amount of carbonic anhydride and water in the mixture may be different. Such a shield evaporates partially after being amalgamated in the blast hole, and CO2, the specific gravity of which is higher *) The patent owner declared that the inventor is Edward Janczyk. the flame which is produced in the event of an explosion is separated from the gases surrounding the cartridge. In addition, COz is effective as a cooling agent, and in the event of an explosion, no poisonous gases or corrosive deposits are formed. The envelope according to the present invention is a cylinder of carbonic anhydride or a mixture thereof with water surrounding the charge of the explosive. The envelope according to the present invention can be used for any type of explosive material used in mining. PL
