Abstract
[Object] To provide a cowl structure for a saddle type vehicle by which exhaust air passing a radiator can be exhausted efficiently from the side of the radiator to the outside of a vehicle. [Solving Means] In a saddle type vehicle including left and right middle cowls 40 that cover sides of a vehicle body frame, and a radiator R that is covered with the left and right middle cowls 40 as viewed in side elevation of the vehicle and takes in running wind from a front face opening between the left and right middle cowls 40 and then exhausts the taken in wind to a rear side in front of an engine E disposed below a fuel tank T having a knee grip portion Tl to be sandwiched by knees of a driver, a cowl structure is configured such that each of the middle cowls 40 includes an inner middle cowl 50 disposed at an inner side in a vehicle widthwise direction and an outer middle cowl 60 disposed at an outer side in the vehicle widthwise direction, and the inner middle cowl'50 includes an opening 51 opened at a side of the radiator R toward the outer middle cowl 60 side and an air path formation portion 52 cooperating with the outer middle cowl 60 to form an air path D for exhaust air A2 from the radiator R to the outside of the vehicle, the air path D extending from the opening 51 toward the rear side.
