Abstract

Se proporciona una composicion lipidica de base vegetal que comprende DHA, ALA y acido oleico (tipicamente como un ester de acidos grasos). La composicion contiene ademas niveles bajos de EPA y acido palmitico. Se refiere a un proceso para producir una composicion lipidica de base vegetal que comprende: (i) acido docosahexaenoico (22:6n-3) en una cantidad del 15 % al 35 % en peso del contenido total de acidos grasos de la composicion; (ii) acido eicosapentaenoico (20:5n-3) en una cantidad de hasta el 5 % en peso del contenido total de acidos grasos de la composicion; (iii) acido alfa-linolenico (18:3n-3) en una cantidad del 10 % al 20 % en peso del contenido total de acidos grasos de la composicion; (iv) acido oleico (18:1n-9) en una cantidad del 20 % al 40 % en peso del contenido total de acidos grasos de la composicion; y (v) acido palmitico en una cantidad de hasta el 1,5 % en peso del contenido total de acidos grasos de la composicion; en donde los componentes (i) a (v) se proporcionan cada uno independientemente en forma de un ester de acido graso; comprendiendo el proceso proporcionar una mezcla de esteres etilicos de acidos grasos y someter la mezcla a una primera etapa de destilacion molecular para obtener un primer residuo.
