Abstract
Se describe una composicion plaguicida que comprende un acido graso C12-C24 en una emulsion, asi como un proceso para preparar la misma y usos para proteger cultivos contra plagas, tales como insectos, nematodos, hongos, oomicetos y bacterias. Tambien se refiere a una composicion plaguicida que comprende: (a) un acido graso C12-C24, (b) un aceite vegetal, y (c) un surfactante etoxilado o propoxilado, o al menos un emulsionante de polioxietileno, o una mezcla de estos. Esta composicion permite que el acido graso este disponible para su uso sin necesidad de ser salificado, ya que la composicion de la invencion da como resultado una emulsion uniforme que se puede diluir facilmente en agua, a pesar de la naturaleza hidrofoba de los componentes principales. Ademas, el aceite vegetal aporta mayor estabilidad a los acidos grasos y evita que los acidos grasos se vuelvan rancios con el tiempo. Esto da como resultado una composicion plaguicida muy estable que es mas sostenible medioambientalmente y tambien mas rentable.
