Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo hidrometalurgico quimico y fisico con interaccion solido-liquido-solido, para la solubilizacion de sulfuros de cobre, mediante Transformacion Selectiva y Precipitacion de especies solubles cloradas de cobre, independiente del potencial redox y en un amplio rango de pH, en condiciones de sobresaturacion de cloruro, condicion que es generada por periodos de no riego, desde minerales o concentrados de cobre, principalmente sulfuras primarios, como calcopirita que lo contiene. Este metodo esta compuesto por 3 etapas, denominadas "etapa de Humectacion y Solvatacion", "Etapa de Transformacion Selectiva y Precipitacion" y etapa de Lavado Acido-Clorurado; y no necesita la adicion de agentes oxidantes o reductores, ni de oxigeno. Ademas, las etapas del metodo pueden ser aplicadas solo con la presencia de agua, sin la necesidad de agregar acido. Por otra parte, las repeticiones de las etapas del metodo, potencian los efectos fisicos sobre el mineral o concentrado, mediante los fenomenos de haloclastia y cristalizacion de sales. La invencion tambien puede ser aplicada a metales base sulfurados tales como niquel, zinc, cobalto, plomo, molibdeno, entre otros, independientemente de impurezas habituales de los minerales sulfurados, como ocurre con la presencia de arsenico.
