Abstract
Se presenta un dispositivo purificador de agua que se coloca dentro de los depositos de agua para uso humano en instalaciones domesticas, rurales, comerciales o institucionales. El dispositivo elimina microorganismos y otros agentes biologicos patogenos, usando plata coloidal soportada sobre esferas de ceramica de porosidad controlada y contenidas en un alojamiento de plastico. El dispositivo consiste de un ensamble de piezas o secciones en forma de jaula que alojan esferas de ceramica impregnadas con plata coloidal y una pieza superior que aporta flotabilidad. El conjunto mantiene a las esferas siempre sumergidas y en contacto con el agua. El numero de secciones que contienen a las esferas, pudiendose incrementar para depositos de mayor capacidad. Algunas de las esferas impregnadas de plata coloidal, pudiendose sustituir con esferas sometidas a otros tratamientos como carbon activado, zeolitas, resinas de intercambio ionico, desinfectantes de liberacion prolongada, esferas metalicas (de cobre y zinc); para eliminar otras impurezas especificas de donde se obtenga el agua. La estructura de las jaulas de alojamiento permite la libre circulacion del agua y evita el contacto o choques entre las esferas prolongando su vida util. El agua tratada que se obtiene es apta para consumo humano y el sistema no requiere energia electrica ni bombeo para operar. Los plasticos para construir el ensamble son compatibles con el agua para uso humano, son estables ante la inmersion por largo tiempo y pueden llevar pigmentos para protegerlos contra la radicacion solar o para identificar las jaulas que contienen distintos tipos de esferas.A water purifying device is presented that is placed inside the water tanks for human use in domestic, rural, commercial or institutional facilities. The device eliminates microorganisms and other pathogenic biological agents, using colloidal silver supported on ceramic spheres of controlled porosity and contained in a plastic housing. The device consists of an assembly of cage-shaped pieces or sections that house ceramic spheres impregnated with colloidal silver and a top piece that provides buoyancy. The set keeps the spheres always submerged and in contact with the water. The number of sections that contain the spheres, being able to increase for deposits of greater capacity. Some of the spheres impregnated with colloidal silver, being able to substitute spheres subjected to other treatments such as activated carbon, zeolites, ion exchange resins, prolonged release disinfectants, metallic spheres (copper and zinc); to eliminate other specific impurities from where the water is obtained. The structure of the housing cages allows the free circulation of water and avoids contact or collisions between the spheres, prolonging their useful life. The treated water obtained is suitable for human consumption and the system does not require electrical energy or pumping to operate. The plastics to build the assembly are compatible with water for human use, are stable under immersion for a long time and can carry pigments to protect them against solar radiation or to identify cages that contain different types of spheres.
