Abstract
La invencion se refiere a un proceso para la preparacion de un gas de sintesis, que comprende hidrogeno y monoxido de carbono, que comprende las etapas de: (a) hacer reaccionar un gas que comprende metano precalentado con un gas oxidante para obtener un gas de sintesis bruto caliente que comprende monoxido de carbono e hidrogeno; (b) enfriar el gas de sintesis bruto caliente producido de la etapa (a) para obtener el gas de sintesis mediante intercambio de calor indirecto con el agua para producir vapor saturado; (e) volver a enfriar el gas de sintesis bruto obtenido en la etapa (b) mediante intercambio de calor indirecto con un gas que comprende metano para obtener un gas de sintesis bruto enfriado y el gas que comprende metano precalentado para usar en la etapa (a), en donde: (i) las etapas (b) y (e) se realizan en un dispositivo de enfriamiento unico para intercambio de calor indirecto combinado, con el agua y con el gas que comprende metano; y (ii) el gas que comprende metano precalentado obtenido en la etapa (e) tiene una temperatura de 400 a 650 'C. La invencion tambien se refiere a un dispositivo de enfriamiento que se puede usar como el dispositivo de enfriamiento unico en el proceso anterior. El dispositivo de enfriamiento comprende una seccion de evaporacion para producir vapor saturado, una seccion de intercambio de calor del gas para precalentar la alimentacion que comprende metano usada en la etapa (a) con el gas de sintesis bruto y un espacio de recoleccion de vapor seco. Este espacio de recoleccion de vapor seco esta separado de la seccion de evaporacion en donde el vapor saturado humedo se forma
