Abstract
Esta divulgacion se refiere a sistemas de pavimento y metodos para pavimentar que son adecuados para ubicaciones que contienen una explanada generalmente debil con una relacion de soporte California de cuatro (4) o menor. El sistema de pavimento incluye una primera capa de geomalla colocada directamente sobre la explanada; una primera capa granular sobre la primera capa de geomalla, teniendo la primera capa granular un grosor de desde 0,5 veces hasta 20 veces la distancia de abertura de la capa de geomalla; una primera capa de geocelda sobre la primera capa granular que comprende una geocelda y un material de relleno; y una capa de explanada mejorada sobre la capa de geocelda. Una segunda capa de geocelda/geomalla puede colocarse por debajo de la capa de explanada mejorada, si se desea. Puede aplicarse una capa de superficie opcional sobre la capa de explanada mejorada, si se desea. El sistema de pavimento resultante proporciona soporte a largo plazo para pavimentos aplicados sobre el sistema de pavimento.
