Abstract
Referida a un proceso para la conversion de SO2 a SO3 en un gas de proceso en bruto que comprende: a) calentar el gas de proceso por medio del intercambio de calor con un gas de proceso oxidado, proporcionando un gas de proceso calentado, b) poner en contacto el gas de proceso calentado con una primera zona de catalizador activo en la oxidacion de SO2 a SO3, proporcionando un gas de proceso oxidado, c) retirar el calor de la reaccion de uno o ambos de la primera zona de material cataliticamente activo y el gas de proceso oxidado al gas de proceso en bruto, por medio de uno o mas procesos de transferencia de calor tales como conveccion, conduccion, radiacion, intercambio de calor de gas/gas o por medio del intercambio de calor facilitado por un medio de transferencia de calor, d) enfriar adicionalmente el gas de proceso oxidado por medio del intercambio de calor en una caldera de tubos de agua, que recibe una alimentacion de agua, proporcionado vapor saturado y un gas de proceso oxidado enfriado, en el cual el gas de proceso en bruto, el gas de proceso enfriado, el gas de proceso calentado, el gas de proceso oxidado y el gas de proceso oxidado enfriado no se condensan con respecto al acido sulfurico
