Abstract
Se refiere a composiciones asfalticas que comprenden asfalto regenerado y un agente de rejuvenecimiento con funcionalidad de ester derivado de aceite de bogol. Tambien se incluyen composiciones de aglomerante rejuvenecido. Los agentes de rejuvenecimiento restablecen las propiedades deseables del asfalto regenerado del asfalto virgen. Las temperaturas de inicio de la transicion vitrea reducidas y la rigidez a la fluencia mejorada en los aglomerantes rejuvenecidos se traducen en una resistencia al agrietamiento a baja temperatura mejorada en el asfalto. Los agentes de rejuvenecimiento confieren un ablandamiento deseable a baja dosificacion al mismo tiempo que tambien se mantienen valores de penetracion aceptables. Los resultados de reometria de corte dinamico demuestran que pueden lograrse esos criterios para composiciones asfalticas en condiciones de temperatura baja, intermedia y alta, y el asfalto tendra buena resistencia al agrietamiento por fatiga y evitacion del ahuellamiento. Los agentes de rejuvenecimiento reducen la temperatura necesaria para compactar o mezclar composiciones asfalticas, lo que conserva la energia y reduce el coste. Las composiciones asfalticas y de aglomerantes rejuvenecidas permiten un mayor uso de asfalto regenerado, especialmente RAP, y ayudan a que la industria de construccion de carreteras reduzca su dependencia de materiales virgenes, no renovales
