REFERIDO A UN PROCESO PARA LA LIXIVIACION DE PLATA Y COBRE A PARTIR DE MENAS DE FASES MINERALES REFRACTARIAS QUE CONTIENEN HIERRO Y AZUFRE CARACTERIZADO PORQUE PREVIA A LA LIXIVIACION OXIDATIVA DICHA MENA O UN MINERAL QUE CONTIENE UN SULFURO, SE SUJETAN A UNA REDUCCION EN UN MEDIO ACIDO QUE COMPRENDE ACIDO SULFURICO O ACIDO CLORHIDRICO, ADEMAS QUE CONTIENE AGENTES COMPLEJANTES DE IONES SULFUROS Y/O FERROSOS, CON UN AGENTE REDUCTOR O EN EL COMPARTIMIENTO CATODICO DE UNA CAMARA ELECTROLITICA EN EL CUAL SE PRODUCE UNA FASE SOLIDA QUE CONTIENE METALES EN UNA FORMA REDUCIDA Y LOS IONES SULFURO Y/O FERROSO DISUELTOS.
