A STREAM OF DISTILLED LIQUID IS COLLECTED FROM THE LOWER REGION OF THE SECOND ABSORBING MEDIUM AND IS DIRECTED TO A HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER MEDIA WITHIN THE HEATING ASSEMBLY TO HEAT IT AND SEPARATE ITS VOLATILE COMPONENTS WHILE THE CURRENT IS COOLING. A FIRST STREAM OF DISTILLED VAPOR IS COLLECTED FROM THE UPPER REGION OF THE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER MEDIUM AND COOLED TO CONDENSATE IT, FORMING A RESIDUAL VAPOR STREAM AND A CONDENSED STREAM. THE CONDENSATE CURRENT IS SUPPLIED AS SUPPLY FROM THE UPPER PART TO THE FIRST ABSORPTION MEDIUM. A SECOND STREAM OF DISTILLATION VAPOR IS COLLECTED FROM THE UPPER REGION OF THE FIRST ABSORPTION MEDIUM AND DIRECTED TO ONE OR MORE MEDIA FOR HEAT EXCHANGE WITHIN THE PROCESSING ASSEMBLY TO HEAT IT WHILE THE FIRST STREAM OF DISTILLED STEAM COOLS. THE SECOND HEATED DISTILLED STEAM STREAM IS COMBINED WITH THE RESIDUAL STEAM STREAM
