REFERIDO A UN METODO DE TRATAMIENTO DE MINERAL DE SULFURO O MINERAL MIXTO DE SULFURO Y OXIDO QUE INCLUYE LA ETAPA DE BIOXILIVIAR EL MINERAL EN UNA DISOLUCION CON IONES CLORURO CON UN CONSORCIO DE CULTIVOS MIXTOS Y QUE SE CARACTERIZA PORQUE: a) EL CONTENIDO DE IONES CLORURO ESTA EN EL INTERVALO DE 1500 ppm A 30000 ppm; b) LA DISOLUCION CONTIENE AL MENOS UNO DE LOS SIGUIENTES: ALUMINIO, MAGNESIO Y SODIO; c) LA TEMPERATURA DE LA DISOLUCION ES SUPERIOR A 10ºC; d) EL pH DE LA DISOLUCION ESTA EN EL INTERVALO DE 1 A 3; Y e) EL CONSORCIO DE CULTIVOS MIXTOS CONTIENE, AL MENOS, UNA CEPA TOLERANTE A LA SALINIDAD DE LEPTOSPIRILLUM FERRIPHILUM, Y UN MICROORGANISMO OXIDANTE DE AZUFRE QUE ES HALOFILO O HALOTOLERANTE, POTENCIADO EL CONSORCIO LA TASA DE OXIDACION DE HIERRO FERROSO
