THE ADDITIVE IS ADDED WITH A CHEMICAL ADDITIVE COMPONENT, INCLUDING REACTION PRODUCTS FROM THE MIXTURE OF A SOURCE OF PHOSPHORIC ACID, AN ALKALINE METAL HYDROXIDE, AMMONIUM HYDROXIDE AND WATER, IN THE FUEL TO IMPROVE ITS FUEL. THE pH OF THE SOLUTION IS BETWEEN 6 AND 8. THE ADDITIVE IS FREE OF AMMONIA AND ALSO INCLUDES [NH4] 2HPO4 and NH4C2H3O2 WHERE C2H3O2 IS AN ACETATE. PHOSPHORUS IS PRESENT IN THE FUEL IN AN AMOUNT OF 1 TO 150 ppm BY WT. FUEL IS PREFERRED HIGH SULFUR, LOW BTU CHARCOAL. THE ADDITIVE COMPOSITION ALSO CONTAINS ACETIC ACID
