Abstract

An invention is related to the field of biomedical engineering and can be used for registration of the patient state by multiple biomedical parameters at the medical office or at home and also for transmitting the information to the remote information processing center. The proposed method of collecting and processing of biomedical information by a computer system, comprising of computer and controlled over Internet hardware unit consisting of multiple biomedical sensors, multi-channel A/D converter and data exchange interface, comprises the steps of: Web-browser sending a request over Internet for a specialized program in the form of an applet for collecting and processing of biomedical information in response to the user's request; remote Web-server transferring the requested applet to the user's computer over Internet; activation of the received applet by the Web-browser in the local user's computer; activation of the hardware unit and data transmission to the user's computer over standard computer data interface; data analysis, result representation and information storage in the user's computer system. The proposed system for collecting of biomedical information, which includes sensors for receiving information, connected to the input of the corresponding A/D converter, A/D converters which output is connected to a standard computer data interface, and software that provides data processing, storage and output, is differed in that that instead of multiple A/D converters a sole A/D converter is used which functions as multi-channel one and which output is connected to one of the standard computer data interfaces; and the control of the hardware unit is performed by an applet, which is not permanently installed in the user's computer, but is received over Internet immediately before beginning of biomedical data collection by a request of a Web-browser installed on the user's computer.
