본 발명은 인체 분비물을 흡수하기 위한 흡수패드의 구조를 개선하는 것에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 특히 여성 위생용(hygiene) 또는 실금용(incontinence) 패드에 관한 것이다.
생리대는 다양한 기구 및 형태로 개+발되어 왔다. 일반적으로 생리대로는 두가지 기본적인 종류가 있다. 이들은 외부용으로 개발된 생리대(sanitary napkin) 또는 패드와 질구(vaginal cavity)내에 삽입되어 질구로부터 월경액의 유동을 차단하도록 개발된 탐폰(tampon)이 있다.
정위치에 유지하고 편안하고 쉽게 표시되지 않도록(unobstrusive) 생리대를 위치시키는 것은 여성 위생에 있어서 계속적인 관심사였다. 패드 또는 생리대를 생리대상의 탭(tap)에 접착된 벨트에 의해 위치시키는 것은 여러해 동안 패드를 정위치에 보유하는 전통적인 방법이었다. 현대 대다수의 외부용 여성용 제품은 의류부착용 접착제(garment attachment adhesive)를 사용함으로써 정위치에 보유된다. 이와 같은 감압 접착제(pressure-sensitive adhesive)는 생리대의 배면에 위치하고 착용자의 내의 내에 패드를 부착하기 전에 제거 되는 박리스트립(peel strip)으로 덮여있다. 상기 접착제의 사용에는 몇가지 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점 가운데에는 접착제가 내의에 너무 견고하게 접착되어 제거하기가 어렵다는 것이다. 다른 단점은 접착제가 내의를 변색시키거나 패드가 제거될때 찢어질 수도 있다는 것이다. 나아가, 접착제 및 이를 덮는데 필요한 박리스트립의 비용이 생리대의 가격에 상당한 부분을 차지한다는 것이다. 또한 패드가 내의 내에서 반전되는 경우 접착제가 인체부위에 불편함을 유발할 수도 있다.
그러므로, 접착제를 필요로 하지 않으면서도 착용자의 내의 내에 그리고 인체 상의 정위치에 적합하게 유지되는 제품을 제조할 수 있는 것이 바람직하다.
인체 분비물을 흡수하기 위한 패드를 유지하는 다른 방법들이 제안되어 왔다. 와이트헤드(White-head)등의 미합중국 특허 제3,881,490호에는 패드의 배면 부재에 폴리우레탄 발포체(polyurethane foam)가 적층된(laminated) 패드가 기재되어 있다. 벡스트롬(Beckstrom)의 미합중국 특허 제4,490,148호에는 내의 내부에 고정되는 마찰 증강 스트립을 갖는 실금용 장치가 기재되어 있다. 레나간(Lenaghan)의 미합중국 특허 제4,389,211호에서는 접착천 재료(velcro material)가 고정 장치로 사용되어 발포체로 된 생리대의 외부표면과 접촉된다. 그러나, 상기 재료는 발포재료가 비교적 고가이고 내의에 접착 연결되어야 한다는 단점을 갖는다. 또한, 이와 같은 재료를 이들 재료가 접착된 의류의 착용자가 특별히 선호하는 것으로 나타나 있지 않다. 그러므로 저렴하고 효과적인 생리대를 정위치에 보유하기 위한 개선된 비접착 시스템이 계속해서 요구되고 있다.
본 발명의 목적은 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드를 정위치에 보유하기 위한 선행 시스템의 단점을 극복하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 생리대를 정위치에 보유하는 염가의 시스템을 제공하는 것이다.

본 발명의 이들 및 다른 목적들은 높은 마찰계수를 갖는 코팅 재료를 포함하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드를 제공함으로써 이루어진다. 바람직한 코팅 재료는 변형된 아크릴수지(acrylic)로부터 성형된 것이다. 이 재료는 바람직하게는 1 이상의 마찰계수 및 변형된 ASTM 테스트 D-1894법을 이용할때 200 보다 큰 쉐필드 평탄도(Sheffield smoothness rating)를 갖는다.

-다른 핫멜트-폴리에틸렌(단일 또는 혼합물), 폴리아미드 등.
전형적인 상기 조성(composition)으로는 에틸렌-비닐 아세테이트 공중합체, 메타크릴산의 아크릴수지 티폴리머, 아크릴수지 공중합체, 에틸렌-비닐 아세테이트/수지 라텍스 에멀젼, 에틸렌-비닐 아세테이트 핫멜트 접착제, 합성 고무(에라스토머성 및 스트렌성 성분을 갖는 블록 공중합체) 핫멜트 접착제, 및 폴리비닐 아세테이트/수지 에멀젼 등이 있다. 이와 같은 재료들은 H.B Fuller Company, E. I. DuPont 및 FindlyAdhesives 등에서 구입가능하다. 상기 유형의 조성들은 부직포 및/또는 종이를 차단 코팅(barrier coating)하기 위한 핫멜트 및 수-기제 코팅 재료로 사용된다.
본 발명의 코팅은 불투수성 차단 부재상에 마련되는 것으로 기재되어 있지만, 또한 코팅으로 인하여 액체 불투수성을 갖게 되는 직물로 된 액체 투수성 부재상에도 가해질 수 있다. 이것은 염가의 면직물(scrim) 또는 부직(nonwoven) 재료가 핫멜트 또는 라텍스 처리되어 배면으로서 사용될 수 있어, 직물에 밀봉되어졌을 때 불투수성배면 부재를 형성하고, 패드를 정위치에 보유하기 위한 미끄럼 저항성 코팅부를 형성하는 두 가지 목적으로 이용될 수 있다는 장점을 갖는다.
상기 설명은 단지 본 발명의 가능성을 예시적으로 기술한 것이다. 예컨대, 도시되지는 않았으나, 본 발명의 미끄럼 저항성 코팅은 라센(Lassen)등의 미합중국 특허 제4, 673, 403호의 발명과 같이 부분적으로 음순사이에 위치(labial disposition)되는 제품에 적용할 수도 었다. 또한 미끄럼 저항성 코팅은 흡수체의 단부 및/또는 패드의 신체측면의 연부상에도 도포될 수 있다. 본 발명온 단지 하기의 특허청구 범위의 범위에 의해 한정된다.

Claims (9)

  1. 200 이상의 평탄도를 가지며, 에틸렌-비닐 아세테이트 코폴리머, 폴리비닐 아세테이트, 이소부틸렌, 스티렌-부틸렌, 셀룰로오스 아세테이트 부티레이트, 에틸 셀룰로오스, 아크릴수지, 합성 고무 핫멜트 및 그들의 혼합물로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 코팅으로 구성되는 미끄럼 저항성 층을 포함하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 미끄럼 저항성 코팅이 패드의 신체측면의 반대편인 패드의 배면에 도포되는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 미끄럼 저항성 코팅이 상기 패드의 신체측면 일부분에 도포되는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 패드가 1 이상의 마찰계수를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 코팅이 패드에 액체 불투수성 배면을 마련하기 위해 직물상에 도포되는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 패드가 두개의 단부, 두개의 종방향 측면, 신체측 투수성 표면, 배면 및 착용자의 내의의 가랑이 연부를 지나 연장되기에 충분한 길이로 상기 종방향 연부로부터 연장되는 두개의 날개를 가지며, 상기 날개의 신체측 표면상에 미끄럼 저항성 코팅이 마련되는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 날개의 적어도 하나의 배면상에 접착제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 미끄럼 저항성 코팅이 수-기제 라텍스를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
  9. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 패드의 배면상에 미끄럼 저항성 코팅을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 인체 분비물 흡수용 패드.
