Abstract
Description
Claims (6)
- 기록 매체 상의 결함을 검출하는 방법에 있어서, 기입될 데이타에 대응하고 2-7 RLLC 코딩 기술에 따라 코드된 진폭 신호를 기록 매체 상으로 기록하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 진폭 신호는 진폭 신호의 주파수 대역내의 이계 미분 피크치를 최소화시키는 주파수를 갖고 있으며 ; 기록 매체 상에 기록된 진폭 신호를 재생하는 단계 ; 상기 재생된 진폭 신호의 피크점의 간격을 검출하는 단계 ; 상기 재생된 진폭 신호의 각각의 피크점에 피크 대 피크 진폭을 검출하는 단계 ; 및 상기 피크 대 피크 진폭이 소정치보다 작거나, 상기 진폭 신호의 상기 피크점들 사이의 간격이 소정치 범위 이외인 경우에 기록 매체상의 결함을 판별하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록 매체의 결함 검출 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기록 매체가 자기 디스크를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록 매체의 결함 검출 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 진폭 신호가 연속 신호인 것을 특징으로 하는 기록 매체의 결함 검출 방법.
- 기록 매체 상의 결함을 검출하는 방법에 있어서, 진폭 신호의 주파수 대역 내의 이계 미분 피크치를 최소화시키는 주파수를 갖고 있는 진폭 신호를 기록 매체 상으로 기록하기 위한 신호로서 발생시키는 수단 ; 2-7 RLLC 코딩 기술에 따라 기입될 데이타로 코드된 상기 진폭 신호를 상기 기록 매체상으로 기록하는 신호 기록 수단 ; 상기 기록 매체상에 기록된 상기 진폭 신호를 재생하는 신호 재생 수단 ; 상기 신호 재생 수단에 의해 재생된 상기 진폭 신호의 피크점에서 피크 대 피크 진폭을 검출하는 진폭 검출 수단 ; 상기 신호 재생 수단에 의해 재생된 상기 진폭 신호의 피크점들 사이의 위상 방향의 간격을 검출하는 간격 검출 수단 ; 및 소정의 진폭 폭보다 짧은 진폭 폭이 상기 진폭 검출 수단에 의해 검출된 경우와, 소정의 피크 간격과 상이한 피크 간격이 상기 간격 검출 수단에 의해 검출된 경우에 기록 매체 상의 결함을 판별하는 판별 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록 매체의 결함 검출 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 진폭 검출 수단은 상기 재생된 진폭 신호의 피크 대 피크 진폭을 소정의 기준 레벨과 비교하는 레벨 검출 회로를 포함하고, 상기 간격 검출 수단은 재생된 진폭 신호의 피크 신호를 검출하는 피크 검출 회로 및 이 피크 검출 회로에 의해 검출된 피크 신호를 소정의 폭을 갖는 판별 창으로 판별하는 판별 회로를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록 매체의 결함 검출 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 진폭 신호가 연속 신호인 것을 특징으로 하는 기록 매체의 결함 검출 장치.
