Claims (15)
- 어떤 두께 및 너비를 가지며, 동일한 간격으로 떨어져 있는 다수의 자극쌍(MPP)을 지니며 자화성 부재를 포함하며, 상기 MPP는 근접 자극쌍들 사이에 극 공간을 지니며, 상기 극 공간은 약 0.010인치(0.254mm) 내지 약 0.050인치(1.27mm) 범위이며, 상기 MPP 각각은 약 +20℃의 온도에서 인코더 표면으로부터 약 0.036인치(0.914mm)의 거리에서 약 2가우스 내지 약 700가우스의 기준 자속 밀도(Fr) 값을 지니며, 상기 Fr값 각각은 하기 식에 의한 극 공간 및 값 범위와 관련되는 것을 특징으로 하는 인코더.상기식에서, K1=인치당 158 내지 1056가우스, K2=(인치)2당 158 내지 1056가우스, K3=(인치)3당 158 내지 1056가우스, X=인접 MPP 사이의 극 공간, 및 Fr=K1, K2, 및 K3의 값이 동일할 때 +20℃에서의 기준 자속 밀도(가우스).
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 자화성 부재의 두께는 그의 값을 극 공간의 1.25배로 함으로써 최적화되며, 최적화된 값은 약 0.0125인치(0.318mm) 내지 0.0625인치(1.588mm) 범위의 두께에 해당하는 것을 특징으로 하는 인코더.

- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 환형 부재의 두께는 극 공간의 1.25배로 함으로써 최적화되며, 이 값은 약 0.0125인치(0.318mm) 내지 약 0.0625인치(1.588mm) 범위의 두께에 해당하는 것을 특징으로 하는 인코더.

(a) 원하는 분해능을 얻는데 필요한 자극쌍의 수를 결정하고 특정 용도에 가장 적합한 베어링 구조를 결정하기 위해 특정 용도 필요조건을 검토하는 단계, (b) 특정 용도를 위한 특정 베어링 구조와 관련된 최대 공극을 결정하는 단계, (c) 최대 공극 조건하에서 센서가 작동 및 중단하는데 필요한 임계 자속 강도를 결정하는 단계, (d) 특정 용도에 대한 고 분해능 필요조건에 부합되도록 상기 (c)단계에서 결정된 임계치와 적어도 동일한 자속강도 및 정확한 위치를 각각 지닌 충분한 수의 자극쌍이 인코더 상에 위치하도록 인코더를 제조하는데 부합되는 자기 물질을 결정하는 단계, (e) 상기 (d)단계에서 결정된 정당한 자기 물질 그룹으로부터, 가장 경제적이고 그 특정 용도의 성능 필요조건에 부합되는 최적 물질을 선택하는 단계, (f) 각각의 자극쌍이 상기 단계(c)에서 결정된 임계값과 적어도 동일한 자속 강도를 가지도록 적어도 특정 고분해능 용도에서 필요로 하는 자극쌍의 수로 상기 단계(e)에서 선택된 최적 물질로 만들어진 환형 부재를 자화시키는 단계.
