Claims (7)
- 핵 연료 가압하의 가스를 수용하며, 밀봉 결합 관계로 양단부에 고착된 한쌍의 단부 플러그를 갖는 피복체로 이루어지는 연료봉에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 상기 단부 플러그(30, 32)가 상기 피복체(28)의 인접 일단부에 결합되는 내부 몸체부(40, 62)와, 피복체의 외측으로 신장하는 외부 몸체부(38, 60)와, 피복체의 내면과 연통하며 상기 외부 몸체부 내의 외부 영역(52, 74) 및 상기 내부 몸체부 내의 내부 영역(56, 76)을 구비하는 내부 공동(52, 72)을 구비하며, 상기 외부 영역이 상기 내부 영역에 대하여 경사를 이루고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료봉.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 외부 몸체부(38, 60)가 대체로 상기 피복체(28)의 외경과 동일한 최대 외경을 가지며, 상기 내부 몸체부(40, 62)가 상기 외부 몸체부 보다 작은 직경을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료봉.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 공동(72)의 내부 영역(76)이 피복체 내의 핵 연료가 상기 공동(72)으로 유입되는 것을 방지하면서 상기 피복체(28)와 중공과의 기체 유동 관계를 허용하는 삽입물(58, 98)을 수용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료봉.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 삽입물(58)이 단부 플러그(32)의 상기 몸체부(62)내에 설치되는 중공의 측벽(78)과 피복체(28)의 내면을 향하여 측벽(78)을 밀폐시키는 내부 단부벽(82)과, 피복체(28)의 내면과 상기 공동(72) 사이의 기체 유동을 허용하는 내부 단부(92)로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료봉.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 중공의 측벽(78)이 단부 플러그(32)의 내부 몸체부(62)를 초월하여 피복체(28)의 내측으로 신장하는 내부 연부(90)를 가지며, 측벽의 외부 단부로 부터 상기 내부 연부로 축방향으로 신장하는 슬롯(86)을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료봉.
- 제5항에 있어서, 축방향의 슬롯(86)을 갖는 상기 중공의 측벽(78)이 상기 내부 몸체부(62)의 내경을 약간 초과하는 외경을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료봉.
- 제6항에 있어서, 단부플러그의 상기 내부 몸체부(62)가 상기 삽입물(58)을 축방향으로 지지하는 내부 레지(84)를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료봉.
