- 제4항에 있어서, 망간 옥사이드 입자가 약 100 내지 약 400 나노미터의 크기 범위 내에 있는 물질.
- 제4항에 있어서, 활성탄이 그램 당 약 800 내지 약 1,300 제곱 미터의 단위 질량 당 표면적을 갖는 물질.
- 제4항에 있어서, 활성탄 크기가 약 10 마이크론과 약 4.0 밀리미터 사이의 범위 내에 있는 물질.
- 제4항에 있어서, 망간 옥사이드 입자가 탄소의 0.5-5.0 중량%의 범위로 존재하는 물질.
- 가스 흐름 중의 휘발성 유기 화합물과 반응시키기 위한 물질로서, 상기 물질이
(a) 적어도 제1 다공성 흡착제의 외면 상에 형성된 기공에서 금속 옥사이드 입자로 함침된 제1 다공성 흡착제; 및
(b) 적어도 제2 다공성 흡착제의 외면 상에 형성된 기공에서 이온성 알칼리 염으로 함침된 제2 다공성 흡착제를 포함하는 물질. - 제9항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 제올라이트를 추가로 포함하며, 금속 옥사이드 입자는 망간 옥사이드(MnOx)를 추가로 포함하며, 제2 다공성 흡착제는 제올라이트를 추가로 포함하며, 이온성 알칼리 염은 포타슘 이온을 추가로 포함하는 물질.
- 제10항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 약 40-50 중량%를 구성하며, 제2 다공성 흡착제가 약 50-60 중량%를 구성하는 물질.
- 제9항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 활성탄을 추가로 포함하며, 금속 옥사이드 입자는 망간 옥사이드(MnOx)를 추가로 포함하며, 제2 다공성 흡착제는 활성탄을 추가로 포함하며, 이온성 알칼리 염은 포타슘 이온을 추가로 포함하는 물질.
- 제12항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 약 40-50 중량%를 구성하며, 제2 다공성 흡착제가 약 50-60 중량%를 구성하는 물질.
- 필터 매체가 놓인 가스 흐름으로부터 적어도 휘발성 유기 화합물을 제거하기 위한 필터 매체로서, 상기 필터 매체는 적어도 제1 다공성 흡착제의 외면 상에 형성된 기공에서 금속 옥사이드 입자로 함침된 제1 다공성 흡착제를 포함하는 필터 매체.
- 제14항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 제올라이트를 추가로 포함하며, 금속 옥사이드 입자는 망간 옥사이드(MnOx)를 추가로 포함하는 물질.
- 제14항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 활성탄을 추가로 포함하며, 금속 옥사이드 입자는 망간 옥사이드(MnOx)를 추가로 포함하는 물질.
- 제16항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 가스-투과성 패널에 장착된 필터 매체.
- 제17항에 있어서, 가스-투과성 패널이 섬유 웹에 인접한 필터 매체.
- 제16항에 있어서, 제1 다공성 흡착제가 섬유 웹에 장착된 필터 매체.
- 제19항에 있어서, 적어도 다공성 흡착제의 외면 상에 형성된 기공에서 이온성 알칼리 염으로 함침된 제2 다공성 흡착제를 추가로 포함하는 필터 매체.
