Claims (16)
- 디스플레이에 있어서,
이산 컬러링되고 독립적으로 제어가능한 고체상태 발광소자들의 이차원 배치를 포함하는 광원층으로서, 상기 발광소자들의 제 1 세트는 제 1 컬러의 빛을 방출하도록 구성되고, 상기 발광소자들의 제 2 세트는 제 2 컬러의 빛을 방출하도록 구성되며, 또한 상기 발광소자들의 제 3 세트는 제 3 컬러의 빛을 방출하도록 구성되는, 상기 광원층; 및
이미지 데이터에 따라 상기 발광소자들의 광 출력을 제어하도록 구성되는 제어 장치를 포함하며;
상기 세트들 중 하나의 세트의 광원들에 대한 점확산 함수(a point spread funtion)는 상기 세트들 중 다른 하나의 세트의 광원들에 대한 점확산 함수보다 더 넓고;
상기 발광소자들의 각 세트들 내에서, 세트 내 발광소자들 중 인접한 발광 소자들의 점확산 함수들이 중첩되고;
상기 세트들 중 적어도 하나의 세트는 상기 세트들 중 다른 하나의 세트보다 더 많은 발광소자들을 포함하는, 디스플레이. - 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 세트는 적색 발광 다이오드를 포함하고, 제 2 세트는 녹색 발광 다이오드를 포함하고 제 3 세트는 청색 발광 다이오드를 포함하는, 디스플레이.
- 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 광원에 의해 방출된 빛은 20nm 내지 50nm 범위의 대역폭을 가지는, 디스플레이.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 발광소자들에 대응하는 빛의 컬러들은 컬러 이미지를 형성하기 위해 결합될 수 있는 컬러들의 세트인, 디스플레이.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상이한 컬러들의 상기 광원들은 상이한 최대 광 출력들을 가지는, 디스플레이.

- 제 7항에 있어서, 상이한 컬러들의 LED들은 상이한 점확산 함수를 가지는, 디스플레이.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상이한 컬러들의 LED들은 상이한 최대 강도들을 가지는, 디스플레이.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제어 장치는, 상기 광원들이 원하는 휘도 패턴을 투사하게 되도록 각 광원들을 구동하기 위한 강도를 결정함으로써 제어 신호들을 생성하도록 구성되는, 디스플레이.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 제 1 그룹은 제 1 폭의 점확산 함수들을 가지는 제 1 광원들을 포함하고, 제 2 그룹은 상기 제 1 폭과 다른 제 2 폭을 가지는 제 2 광원을 포함하는, 디스플레이.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 광원 층은 독립적으로 제어가능한 발광소자들의 제 4 세트를 포함하고, 상기 발광소자들의 제 4 세트는 제 1, 제 2 및 제 3 컬러들과 상이한 제 4 컬러의 빛을 방출하도록 구성되는, 디스플레이.
- 제 12항에 있어서, 상기 제 4 컬러는 황색 (yellow) 또는 청록색 (cyan) 중에서 선택되는, 디스플레이.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 각각의 세트 내 LED들의 수는 LED들의 플럭스 비율(flux ratio)에 적어도 반비례하는, 디스플레이.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 LED들은 그룹들로 배치되고 각 그룹은 적색 LED, 녹색 LED 및 청색 LED를 포함하는, 디스플레이.
