Claims (20)
- 무기 재료를 용융물로서 압출하고, 용융된 압출물을 섬유로서 고형화하고, 고형화된 무기 섬유를 수집하는 단계;
수집된 고형화된 무기 섬유를 형성 챔버 - 상기 형성 챔버는 형성 챔버 내에 적어도 하나의 열로 제공되는 복수의 섬유-분리 롤러를 포함하며 이동식 무단 벨트 스크린을 포함함 - 내로 도입하는 단계;
섬유-분리 롤러를 사용하여 무기 섬유의 적어도 일부를 기계적으로 분리하는 단계;
이동식 무단 벨트 스크린에 의해 무기 섬유의 임의의 나머지 집합체(agglomerate)를 포획하고, 포획된 집합체를 섬유-분리 롤러로 되돌려 보내 섬유-분리 롤러에 의해 기계적으로 분리되게 하는 단계;
기계적으로 분리된 무기 섬유를 그래비티-레이드(gravity-laid) 무기 섬유 매트로서 수집하는 단계;
그래비티-레이드 무기 섬유 매트를 형성 챔버로부터 꺼내는 단계; 및
그래비티-레이드 무기 섬유 매트를 압밀(consolidate)하여 그래비티-레이드 무기 섬유 웨브를 형성하는 단계

- 제6항에 있어서, 부가적인 유형의 무기 섬유는 긴 현무암 섬유(basalt fiber), 긴 유리 섬유, 및 광물면(mineral wool)으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 방법.
