본 고안은 차량 정체 표시 기능을 갖는 가로등에 관한 것으로서, 도로에서 차량정체시 원거리에서 확인 가능한 가로등을 통하여 이를 표시하여 추돌사고와 같은 교통사고를 예방할 수 있도록 한 것이다.
즉, 본 고안은 가로등에 도로 측면에 차량감지센서를 구비하고, 상기 차량감지센서에 따라 점등되는 차량정체표시등을 구비하며, 상기 차량감지센서의 감지에 따라 차량정체표시등의 점등을 제어하는 정체점등제어부를 구비한 것이다.
따라서, 본 고안은 가로등에 차량감지센서를 구비하고, 상기 차량감지센서에 연동하여 동작되는 차량정제표시등을 구비함으로써 도로의 차량정체시 원거리에서 운전하는 운전자가 이를 인지하여 우회하거나 감속하여 도로의 안전성이 향상되는 것이다.
