본 실시예들에 의하면, 소비전력을 저감할 수 있는 유기발광표시장치 및 그의 구동방법을 제공할 수 있다.

Claims (12)
- 제1전원과 제2전원을 공급받아 데이터전압에 대응되는 구동전류에 의해 휘도를 표현하되, 노말모드와 대기모드로 구분되어 동작되는 표시패널;
상기 노말모드와 상기 대기모드를 구분하는 모드제어신호를 출력하는 제어부; 및
상기 모드제어신호에 대응하여 동작하되, 상기 대기모드에서 상기 데이터전압을 보상하는 보상전압을 전달하는 전원부를 포함하고,
상기 데이터전압이 고계조에 대응하면 상기 보상전압은 순시적으로 감소하는 전압이고, 상기 데이터전압이 저계조에 대응하면 상기 보상전압은 순시적으로 증가하는 전압인 유기발광표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 표시패널은 유기발광다이오드와, 상기 유기발광다이오드에 상기 구동전류를 공급하는 구동트랜지스터와, 상기 구동트랜지스터의 게이트전극에 상기 데이터전압에 대응하는 게이트전압을 인가하는 캐패시터를 포함하는 화소를 포함하되,
상기 보상전압은 상기 캐패시터에 인가되는 유기발광표시장치. - 삭제
- 제2항에 있어서,
상기 대기모드는 상기 노말모드보다 한 프레임의 구간이 더 길게 설정된 유기발광표시장치. - 제1전원과 제2전원을 공급받아 데이터전압에 대응되는 구동전류에 의해 휘도를 표현하는 복수의 화소를 포함하는 표시패널; 및
고주파수구동과 저주파수구동을 구분하는 모드제어신호를 출력하고, 상기 저주파수구동인 경우, 상기 구동전류의 크기를 유지하게 제어하는 제어부를 포함하고,
상기 모드제어신호를 수신하며, 상기 제1전원과 상기 제2전원을 상기 표시패널로 공급하는 전원부를 더 포함하고,
상기 전원부는 상기 저주파수구동에서 상기 복수의 화소에 보상전압을 전달하여 상기 구동전류의 크기가 유지되도록 하고,
상기 데이터전압이 고계조에 대응하면 상기 보상전압은 순시적으로 감소하는 전압이고, 상기 데이터전압이 저계조에 대응하면 상기 보상전압은 순시적으로 증가하는 전압인 유기발광표시장치. - 삭제
- 제5항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 화소 중 적어도 하나의 화소는 유기발광다이오드와, 상기 유기발광다이오드에 상기 구동전류를 공급하는 구동트랜지스터와, 상기 구동트랜지스터의 게이트전극에 상기 데이터전압에 대응하는 게이트전압을 인가하는 캐패시터를 포함하는 화소를 포함하되,
상기 보상전압은 상기 캐패시터에 전달되는 유기발광표시장치. - 삭제
- 인가되는 데이터전압에 대응하는 구동전류의 크기에 대응하여 휘도를 표현하는 복수의 화소를 포함하는 유기발광표시장치의 구동방법으로,
상기 복수의 화소 중 적어도 하나의 화소가 제1구동 또는 제2구동으로 구분되어 동작하는 모드제어신호를 출력하는 단계; 및
상기 모드제어신호에 대응하여 상기 적어도 하나의 화소가 상기 제2구동으로 동작하도록 제어하면, 상기 화소에 흐르는 구동전류의 양이 일정하게 유지하도록 상기 적어도 하나의 화소에 보상전압을 전달하는 단계를 포함하고,
상기 데이터전압이 고계조에 대응하면 상기 보상전압은 순시적으로 감소하는 전압이고, 상기 데이터전압이 저계조에 대응하면 상기 보상전압은 순시적으로 증가하는 전압인 유기발광표시장치의 구동방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 제2구동은 상기 제1구동보다 상기 데이터전압이 변화되는 시간이 더 길게 설정된 유기발광표시장치의 구동방법. - 삭제
