Abstract
Description
Claims (11)
- i) 수용액에 알루미늄 염을 첨가함으로써 3 내지 4의 pH를 갖는 알루미나 혼합물을 제조하는 단계;
ii) 알루미나 혼합물에 알칼리 금속 알루미네이트를 첨가하여 시드 혼합물(seed mixture)을 형성시키는 단계로서, 알칼리 금속 알루미네이트의 첨가가 시드 혼합물의 pH를 6.0 내지 7.5로 유지시키는 속도로 일어나는 단계;
iii) 시드 혼합물을 에이징(aging)시키는 단계;
iv) 시드 혼합물에 추가적인 알루미늄 염 및 추가적인 알칼리 금속 알루미네이트를 첨가하는 단계로서, 상기 첨가가 침강 알루미나(precipitated alumina)를 포함하는 침전된 혼합물을 형성시키고 침전된 혼합물의 pH를 6.9 내지 7.8로 유지시키는 속도로 일어나는 단계;
v) pH를 8.8의 pH 내지 9.3의 pH로 증가시키면서 침강 알루미나를 포함하는 침전된 혼합물을 가열시키는 단계; 및
vi) 침강 알루미나를 회수하는 단계를 포함하는, 알루미나를 제조하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 방법의 단계 i) 및 단계 iv)에 첨가된 알루미늄 염이 알루미늄 설페이트, 알루미늄 클로라이드, 또는 알루미늄 니트레이트를 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 수용액이 물인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 방법의 단계 ii) 및 단계 iv)에 첨가된 알칼리 금속 알루미네이트가 소듐 알루미네이트 또는 칼륨 알루미네이트를 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 방법의 단계 ii)의 시드 혼합물의 pH가 6.5 내지 7.0인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 시드 혼합물의 에이징이 혼합물을 68℃ 내지 78℃에서 5 내지 20분 동안 가열시키는 것을 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 알루미늄 염 및 알칼리 금속 알루미네이트가 방법의 단계 iv)에서 동시에 첨가되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 방법의 단계 iv)의 침전된 혼합물의 pH가 7.2 내지 7.5인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계 iv)가 20분 내지 70분 범위의 시간에 걸쳐 수행되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 침강 알루미나를 La2O3 전구체로 도핑시키는 추가 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 하기 특징들을 모두 포함하는, 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항의 방법에 의해 제조된 알루미나의 조성물:
i) (XRD를 이용하여) (120) 대각면에서 33 내지 42 옹스트롱의 결정립 크기;
ii) 6.30 내지 6.59 옹스트롱의 결정립 d-간격(020);
iii) 115 내지 166 옹스트롱의 평균 기공 직경을 갖는 높은 다공률;
iv) 250 내지 350 ㎏/㎥의 상대적으로 낮은 벌크 밀도;
v) 60 내지 80 ㎡/g의, 1100℃에서 24시간 동안 하소(calcination) 후 표면적; 및
vi) 0.8 내지 1.1 ㎤/g의, 1000℃에서 1시간 동안 하소 후 기공 용적.
