Claims (15)
- 기체와, 상기 기체의 표면에 위치하는 피복층을 구비한 피복 공구로서,
상기 피복층은 상기 기체 상에 위치하는 제 1 탄질화티탄층과, 상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층 상에 위치하는 제 2 탄질화티탄층과, 상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층 상에 위치하는 산화알루미늄층을 갖고,
상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층은 상기 산화알루미늄층의 측으로 돌출된 복수의 제 1 돌기를 갖고,
상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층은 상기 산화알루미늄층의 측으로 돌출된 복수의 제 2 돌기를 갖고,
상기 제 2 돌기의 수가 상기 제 1 돌기의 수보다 많으며,
상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층은 서로 이웃하는 상기 제 1 돌기 사이에 위치하는 골짜기부에 공극이 존재하고,
상기 공극의 바로 위에 상기 제 2 돌기가 위치하는 피복 공구. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 기체의 표면에 직교하는 단면에 있어서, 상기 제 2 돌기의 선단각이 상기 제 1 돌기의 선단각보다 작은 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 공극이 복수 존재하고, 상기 기체의 표면에 직교하는 단면에 있어서, 상기 공극의 면적의 평균값이 직경이 32~100㎚인 원의 면적에 상당하는 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층에 있어서의 탄소 및 질소의 합계 함유량에 대한 탄소의 함유 비율을 제 1 비율, 상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층에 있어서의 탄소 및 질소의 합계 함유량에 대한 탄소의 함유 비율을 제 2 비율로 했을 때, 상기 제 2 비율이 상기 제 1 비율보다 작은 피복 공구. - 제 4 항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 비율이 0.3~0.57이며, 상기 제 2 비율이 0.27~0.51인 피복 공구. - 제 4 항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층에 있어서의 탄소의 함유량이 15~29원자%이고, 또한 질소의 함유량이 22~35원자%이며,
상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층에 있어서의 탄소의 함유량이 13~24원자%이며, 또한 질소의 함유량이 23~35원자%인 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층은 평균 애스펙트비가 2 이상인 탄질화티탄 결정의 기둥형상 결정을 갖고 있는 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층의 두께가 2~15㎛인 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층의 두께가 30~900㎚인 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 피복층은 상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층과 상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층 사이에 위치하는 제 1 중간층을 더 갖고,
상기 제 1 중간층은 티탄을 30~70원자%, 탄소를 24~30원자%, 질소를 16~23원자%, 산소를 2~5원자%의 비율로 함유하고 있는 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 피복층은 상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층과 상기 산화알루미늄층 사이에 위치하는 제 2 중간층을 더 갖고,
상기 제 2 중간층은 티탄을 30~70원자%, 탄소를 0~70원자%, 질소를 0~35원자%, 산소를 3~20원자%의 비율로 함유하고 있는 피복 공구. - 제 11 항에 있어서,
상기 제 2 중간층은 상기 산화알루미늄층을 향해서 돌출되는 침형상 결정을 갖는 피복 공구. - 제 12 항에 있어서,
상기 제 2 중간층에 있어서의 상기 침형상 결정을 제외하는 부분의 두께가 10~40㎚인 피복 공구. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층 및 상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층 중 적어도 상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층이 산소를 함유하고 있으며,
상기 제 2 탄질화티탄층 중에 존재하는 산소 함유량이 상기 제 1 탄질화티탄층 중에 존재하는 산소 함유량보다 많은 피복 공구. - 삭제
