Abstract
제1 단부면 'a'와 제2 단부면 'b' 사이에 길이 L을 갖는 담지체, 및
상기 담지체 상에 배치된 서로 다른 조성의 촉매 활성 물질 구획 A, B 및 C를 포함하고, 여기서
- 물질 구획 A는 Pt : Pd ≥ 1의 중량비로 백금 또는 백금과 팔라듐을 함유하고, 단부면 'a' 에서부터 출발하거나 또는 단부면 'b' 에서부터 출발하여 길이 L을 따라 해당 길이 중에서 70 내지 100%까지 연장되며,
- 물질 구획 B는 팔라듐 또는 백금과 팔라듐을 함유하고, 단부면 'b' 에서부터 출발하여 길이 L을 따라 해당 길이 중에서 일부까지 연장되고,
- 물질 구획 C는 SCR-활성 물질을 함유하고, 단부면 'a' 에서부터 출발하여 길이 L을 따라 해당 길이 중에서 일부까지 연장되며,
상기 물질 구획 C는 물질 구획 A 위에 배치되는 것인, 촉매에 관한 것이다.
Description
도 2은 본 발명에 따른 촉매 배열체의 또 다른 예를 개략적으로 도시한 것이다. 엔진 (1)을 빠져 나가는 배기 가스는 먼저 엔진에 가깝게 배치된 제1 SCR 촉매 (3)를 통해 유도된다. 배기 가스 스트림에서 암모니아로 가수분해되는 요소 수용액을 제1 SCR 촉매 (3)의 상류부에서 제1 투여 장치 (2a)를 통해 공급한다. 이어서, 제1 SCR 촉매를 빠져 나가는 배기 가스는, 본 발명에 따른 촉매 (4)를 통과하고, SCR 촉매로 코팅된 미립자 필터 (5a)를 거쳐, 마지막으로 하류부에 추가로 배치된 제2 SCR 촉매 (6)를 통해 흘러나오게 된다. 이러한 경우, 배기 가스 스트림에서 암모니아로 가수분해되는 요소 수용액을 미립자 필터 (5a)의 상류부에서 제2 투여 장치 (2a)를 통해 공급한다. 마지막으로, 상기 배기 가스는 대기로 방출되기 전에 암모니아 슬립 촉매 (7)를 통과하도록 유도된다. 화살표는 배기 가스의 유동 방향을 나타낸다.
Claims (19)
- 촉매 컨버터(catalytic converter)로서,
제1 단부면 'a'와 제2 단부면 'b' 사이의 길이 L을 갖는 담지체(carrier body), 및 상기 담지체 상에 배치된 서로 다른 조성의 촉매 활성 물질 구획 A, B 및 C를 포함하고, 여기서
- 물질 구획 A는 Pt : Pd ≥ 1의 중량비로 백금, 또는 백금과 팔라듐을 함유하고, 단부면 'a' 에서부터 시작하거나 또는 단부면 'b' 에서부터 시작하여 상기 길이 L의 70 내지 100%를 차지하며,
- 물질 구획 B는 팔라듐, 또는 백금과 팔라듐을 함유하고, 단부면 'b' 에서부터 시작하여 상기 길이 L의 일부를 차지하고,
- 물질 구획 C는 SCR-활성 물질을 함유하고, 단부면 'a' 에서부터 시작하여 상기 길이 L의 일부를 차지하며,
상기 물질 구획 C는 물질 구획 A 위에 배치되는 것인, 촉매 컨버터. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 A가 백금, 또는 백금과 팔라듐을 20:1 내지 1:1의 중량비로 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 B가 팔라듐, 또는 백금과 팔라듐을 3:1 내지 1:12의 중량비로 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 A가 백금 및 전이 금속 산화물을 포함하고, 상기 전이 금속 산화물이 CuxO (여기서, 0 < x ≤ 2임)인 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제4항에 있어서, 각각 상기 물질 구획 A의 중량을 기준으로, 백금이 0.05 내지 4.0 중량%의 양으로 존재하고, 전이 금속 산화물이 0.5 내지 15 중량%의 양으로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제4항에 있어서, 각각 상기 물질 구획 A의 중량을 기준으로, CuxO가 0.5 내지 5 중량%의 양으로 존재하고, 백금이 0.05 내지 2.0 중량%의 양으로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 B가 알칼리토류 금속을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 B의 알칼리토류 금속이 스트론튬, 또는 바륨, 또는 스트론튬과 바륨인 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 C가, SCR 활성 물질로서, 전이 금속을 함유하는 최대 고리 크기의 8개의 사면체형 원자의 소공극 제올라이트를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 소공극 제올라이트가 AEI, CHA, KFI, ERI, LEV, MER 또는 DDR 스캐폴드 유형에 속하는 것들로서, 이들이 코발트, 철, 구리 또는 이러한 금속들의 2종 또는 3종의 혼합물로 교환되는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 C가, SCR 활성 물질로서, 전이 금속을 함유하는 BEA 구조 유형의 제올라이트를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 B가 상기 담지체 길이 L의 30 내지 50%를 차지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 C가 상기 담지체 길이 L의 50 내지 70%를 차지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터.
- 암모니아 또는 암모니아 전구체 공급용 제1 장치, 제1 SCR 촉매 컨버터 및 제1항에 따른 촉매 컨버터를 차례로 포함하는 촉매 컨버터 배열체(catalytic converter arrangement)로서,
상기 제1항에 따른 촉매 컨버터가, 그의 단부면 'a'가 제1 SCR 촉매 컨버터의 방향을 가리키도록 배치되는 것인, 촉매 컨버터 배열체. - 제14항에 있어서, 제1항에 따른 촉매 컨버터의 단부면 'b'의 방향을 마주하도록 배치된 디젤 미립자 필터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터 배열체.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 디젤 미립자 필터에 뒤따르는 제2 SCR 촉매 컨버터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터 배열체.
- 제16항에 있어서, 암모니아 또는 암모니아 전구체를 공급하기 위한 제2 장치가 상기 제2 SCR 촉매 컨버터 이전에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터 배열체.
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 제2 SCR 촉매 컨버터에 뒤따르는 암모니아 차단 촉매 컨버터(ammonia barrier catalytic converter)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 것인, 촉매 컨버터 배열체.
